How to enter
Please read through the category descriptions below, select the category you wish to enter from the list, then click ENTER NOW. You'll need to register and set up your account the first time you do this.
Registering your account
When registering, you will receive an email which will have a click-through link and a validation code to validate your account. You will need to complete this step before you can start your nomination. If you do not receive the validation email please email lesley.hampson@reachplc.com .
Completing your entry
You can save draft entries and return to edit them as often as you wish before submitting. All you need to do is click on the YOUR ACCOUNT tab on the menu banner and this will take you through to your dashboard where you will find all your draft entries and submitted entries.
When you have finished writing your entry and you are ready to submit, you'll need to agree to the terms and conditions then click the COMPLETE button at the bottom of the page. If your entry is still in draft, you will need to click MOVE TO BASKET at the top of the entry before you can click the COMPLETE button.

BEST ARTS & BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
Recognising an outstanding partnership which has demonstrated an innovative way of working in to achieve respective goals. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
BEST ARTS & EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP - **new**
Recognising an outstanding partnership which has demonstrated how working together can unite and improve cultural education for children and young people in our region. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
BEST EVENT OR EXHIBITION
Awarded to an event or exhibition that has taken place between July 2021 and July 2022 in the North East.
BEST MUSEUM OR CULTURAL VENUE
This award is to recognise a North East museum or cultural venue that has contributed to the community through innovative projects and service excellence.
BEST INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION - **new**
This award is for an artist, group or company from any artform or heritage background who have developed a great international project. This could be a collaboration, an international tour into the North East, or from the region to an international destination. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR
Recognising any North East-based writer, artist, performer or visual artist who came to the public’s attention for the first time between July 2021 and July 2022.
PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR
For an individual, group or company who, between July 2021 and July 2022, put on a special performance in the North East (live or virtual) which moved or inspired. Examples could include dance, music, theatre or comedy.
PERFORMING ARTIST OF THE YEAR
Recognising an individual performer or group that has stood out from the crowd. Nominations welcome for all performers: dancers, musicians, singers, performance poets, comedians etc. Nominations could be for one performance or several, live or virtual. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
SPECIAL AWARD FOR YOUNG ACHIEVEMENT
To reward a special achievement in the arts by an individual or group aged 18 or under. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
VISUAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR
Recognising a North East-based artist whose work has left a lasting impression. It will be given for an individual piece of work or an exhibition. (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
WRITER OF THE YEAR
Recognising an author, playwright, screenwriter or poet who has had outstanding work published or performed (live or virtual). (Activities must have taken place between July 2021 and July 2022)
