About the awards
The North East Culture Awards are an annual celebration of the thriving arts and cultural scene in the North East of England and are organised by Reach plc - one of Britain's biggest newspaper groups, publishing The Journal, The Chronicle, The Gazette and website's ChronicleLive and TeessideLive.
Our headline sponsor for 2022 is Durham County Council, who have been long-standing supporters of the awards.
There are a wide range of categories - covering visual artists, performers, writers, events, exhibitions, international collaborations and more!

Top Tips!
- Snacks will be available to purchase from the Undercroft cafe but we advise guests to eat something more substantial before they come.
- Seating is on the cathedral pews so guests may also like to bring something soft to sit on!

Tickets
If you have purchased tickets to attend online please make sure you have filled in the name on each ticket. All tickets booked for the original date of 8th September will be carried over to the new date of 15th November. Please email lesley.hampson@reachplc.com if you have purchased ticket/s and are no longer able to attend the awards due to the date change.
There are no physical 'tickets' sent out for the event - all you need to do is give your name on arrival and we will tick you off.
